WE WANT MORE

WHERE WE WANT TO GO

With the WWM project, we boldly declare: we want more.

Our responsibility is to take inclusivity in theatre to the next level: we see accessibility and inclusion as fundamental to shaping and adapting theatre spaces and will work to create environments where everyone—regardless of physical or mental conditions, or social and cultural backgrounds—can fully enjoy and participate in the arts.

Our vision is clear: the social inclusion of the disabled in theatre is essential to building a more equitable and accessible society.

This is why we commit to involving disabled people in every stage of the work, by:

  • integrating disabled actors and directors into our casts.
  • training theatre directors and actors on how to make their companies and performances more inclusive.
  • training theatre managers and operators on how to effectively address the needs of spectators, actors, and disabled colleagues.
  • incorporating D/deaf audiences into dance or music performances.

It is possible to create a performance with a diverse and inclusive artistic direction and cast.

And we are ready to prove it.

WITH WHAT RESULTS

  • To implement a training course for 30 theatre directors and actors from across Europe. TOPIC: how to make their companies and performances more inclusive.
  • To implement a training course with 30 theatre managers and operators from across Europe. TOPIC: how to effectively address the needs of spectators, actors, and disabled colleagues.
  • To co-develop a European inclusive performance featuring a diverse cast, complete with audio descriptions and captions in English and the partners’ national language, ready for a European tour.
  • To reach a total audience of at least 500 people with the European inclusive performance toured in 5 European countries.
  • To create a European network for socially inclusive theatres, consisting of:
