The performance was created using the motifs taken from early Christian texts ’Gospel According to Mary Magdalene’ and ’Gospel of Judas’. Music material used in the performance comes from the rich treasury of Serbian traditional songs, as well as from ritual songs of American Natives.
PAGAN PHANTASMA OR THE SECRET OF BETRAYAL IS A NUMINOUS EXPERIENCE. THIS NUMINOUS EXPERIENCE IS ACCOMPANIED BY ECSTASY. THIS ECSTASY HAS ITS CULMINATION IN WHICH THE SECRET OF BETRAYAL IS REVEALED. THE SECRET OF BETRAYAL IS AN APSURD AND ILLOGICAL IDEA BY WHICH THERE WAS A PROJECT OF CREATION OF THE NEW WORLD. ACCORDING TO THIS PROJECT A MASTER TRAINS HIS DISCIPLE HOW TO BETRAY HIM AND FOR SOME MONEY DELIVER HIM TO THE AUTHORITIES AND IN THIS WAY ENABLE THE CREATION OF THE NEW WORLD.
