As part of the project “Action for a More Inclusive Culture – Public Advocacy for Greater Accessibility of Cultural Content and Greater Participation of Persons with Disabilities in the Cultural Life of the Community,” the research study Needs and Barriers of Persons with Disabilities Related to Participation in Cultural Activities was conducted. The research was carried out by the project partner, the Center for Empirical Studies of Southeast Europe (CESK), during the period from December 2025 to February 2026.

A total of 179 respondents took part in the research through surveys, focus groups, and interviews, contributing to a better understanding of the barriers and needs related to cultural participation of persons with disabilities.

The project is being implemented within the program “EU Resource Centre for Civil Society in Serbia,” carried out by the Belgrade Open School in partnership with its partners and with the support of the European Union.
